Hello, I'm Sarah and I help engineering leaders create greater impact, build the influence and confidence to lead at the next level, and earn the recognition, scope, and opportunities that come with it.I started my career as a software developer, with internships at IBM and RBC, so I know how engineers think and what the work is really like. A master's in education and years in ed-tech and learning research then pointed me toward a different question: how do strong engineers become strong leaders?In 2016 I joined Shopify, where I spent five years as the company grew from about 1,000 people to 10,000. I ended up running its engineering leadership development programs, including mentorship and management development. I then joined Wealthsimple to build its engineering learning function from the ground up, and within a year I'd started my own practice, with Wealthsimple as my first client.Today I coach engineering leaders 1:1 and work with companies on developing their leaders.
